A few things on the agenda.....me and christine moved into our new flat in August but we've really yet to have a warming party 'cause of us working & furniture had yet to arrive & Sky installed etc....but we now have things in & i wanna throw a house party soon so if anyone is interested the lemme know so i can arrange something
decided to leave my 360 with my dad when i moved out so i only have my PS3 now but loving it...FIFA & NHL came out recently so been busy on them & a few others coming out soon too (Fallout 3 & Dead Space)
now working as a temp at capita doing admin work (mon to fri 9 to 5 & only typing out letters & sending them out & getting paid a decent wage for it & NO PHONE WORK...awesome)
what else....oh yeah i went to Ikea for the 1st time on friday with the mrs & i hated it. I've been able to avoid swedish furniture stores for so long but i had no chance of getting out of this one & we spent nearly 2hrs there & it was painfull the whole way through....i just don't get the place at all but the hot dog at the end kinda made up for it, plus the 4 pint glass i bought cheered me up at the end :p
anything else.......oh yeah, Sarah Palin is a stupid bitch |

....that's what I should have said....
Clang! Another entry in the Maplin celebrity customer list today, namely Winston fae Still Game. He really is the most UN-showbusiness-looking guy you'll ever pass in the street.
It's traditional with celeb customers to get their address details so we can stalk them send them discount vouchers, but I couldn't bring myself to do it. That would involve me asking for his name, which I totally don't remember (Google: Paul Riley. I did not know that.) and him looking crestfallen because I didn't recognise him. I'm nice like that. At least when I served his chums Ford Kiernan and Karen Dunbar they were jokey and/or luvvy. He just looks like... a bloke. And sort of... depressed. Probably because I didn't seem to recognise him. Sorry! But hey, no junk mail, right? |

I also kind of lost track of time because I was playing with my TOTALLY AWESOME REMOTE CONTROL MINI-COPTER! *notageeknotageeknotageeknotageeknotageek* XD XD XD |

| SAMBA! |
[Sep. 26th, 2008|12:39 am] |
| [ | mood |
| | geeky | ] | Samba De Amigo came through today... first things first, I think it may actually be the REAL version of RBF's version of Take On Me this time like them actually singing it on the game and not a band hired by Sega to re-do it. if not it sounds identical to Aaron's voice and even the song itself sounds identical right down the very last horn, guitar and drum note. Kinda disappointed and awed at the same time about this (figures RBF would be cool enough to let a game use their actual recordings instead of covers ^-^) but at least the Japanese dude singing Livin' La Vida Loca is still hilarious enough to make up for it. XD
As for the game itself I'm not too sure yet. You can calibrate your remote and nunchuck to each height but it still seems really unresponsive (the nunchuck in particular) and it also seems to respond more to wether you tilt the controllers up, flat or down regardless of whereabouts you hold them instead of responding to different heights altho the TV in the front room is quite low down (round about my lower torso) with the sensor bar on top so this might be causing problems or maybe it was mainly designed to work best with 2 wiimotes as maracas and the nunchuck is just gash... I guess only time will tell. In the meantime the game is still a lot of fun but a lot of the fun on the DC came from using the large novelty maracas so the experience just isn't the same but I'm sure once I get used to it a bit more (and maybe get a large, mounted flatscreen TV and another wiimote) it'll still be 1 of the top games in my collection. ^-^
In other news, there's a LOT of good tv on at the moment. Pryson Prison Break has already started (although it seems more like Hustle now) and so has Heroes and Entourage, Dexter will be offically starting to air again soon as will Pushing Daisies, Lost and My Name Is Earl. Looks like Pryson Prison Break has well and truly jumped the shark and Heroes has hopped in a motorboat, built up a high speed and then flew up off a ramp jumping over 10 sharks who are all making a shark pyramid in the process. Entourage on the other hand is at the top of it's game but I'm looking forward to Earl coming back the most! :D
EDIT: Forgot to add... I watched half of the first ep of Knight Rider 2008 (because that's all I could stand). They turned Kit into a frickin' TRANSFORMER, what the hell is that all about? |
